How does NetEye Gold work?
Net Eye Gold is a modular system. Each stand alone unit is operated via a modem at the monitoring station. Multiple units can be placed at different site locations and controlled from the monitoring station. A PC, modem and phone line is required for each unit.
At each surveillance site, there is an unmanned stand alone unit. The video cameras, linked to the unit inputs are activated automatically when a sensor triggers an alarm. In addition to alerting you to the alarm with a popup on your PC screen at the monitoring station, one or several cameras start filming, transmitting via the phone line to your PC where the material is recorded on your hard disk. You can subsequently replay the film, changing the speed and stopping to examine specific frames. You can in fact interpret and analyze the event as if you were actually there, even though geographically, you may be far removed.
Sensors can also trigger the activation of a number of optional relays such as an audio alarm system, closing the gates, putting out the lights, activating fire extinguisher, zoom in and/or zoom out on picture frame etc. The activation of the cameras and relays is programmed in to the system unit. However full control can be maintained from the remote monitoring station using the Net Eye Gold software with your PC, phone line and modem. . No additional hardware is required. You are also able to work simultaneously on other computer applications knowing that the system will alert you and that NetEye Gold is keeping an eye for you on zones you need to supervise.
The transfer of information is two-way. Control commands are transmitted from the monitoring station PC to the stand alone unit and video material is transmitted from the unit to the monitoring PC and can be recorded for later analysis and interpretation, as detailed above.
In a familiar PC environment, at the monitoring station, you have instant access to up to 8 visual zones per unit, using video cameras to do your seeing for you. Each NetEye Gold stand alone unit enables you to be in virtually up to 8 places at one and the same time. Increase the number of units you deploy and automatically you increase your area of surveillance and control.
